What is Twitter Bootstrap?

Bootstrap provides a modern framework that you can hand over to a designer and say "make this look fancy!" without them hacking their way through the code.

The shortcodes make sense, and are simple enough for contributors to use properly. Most importantly, it allow you to develop structure first, and address fonts, colours and fancy styles later.

Is Bootstrap any good?

Twitter Bootstrap is awesome. Saves you many hours/days of work trying to design and code a decent looking UI. Highly recommend it for both prototyping and production.

Who should use it?

If you don't have any design sources or direction and your project needs a good UI, then Bootstrap is an amazing tool to aid you on your way.

If you want to adapt some existing design work to Bootstrap, then no. Bootstrap is not well geared for this.

Bootstrap is basically more a developer's tool than a front-end developer's or designer's one.
