Google+ and Facebook soap opera?

The new social networking service coming this time from Google is called Google+. Even if is in invite-only testing phase the rumors, debates and jokes started. As you probably already know, Google+ integrates well known services like Google Profiles and Google Buzz and also introduces new features like Circles, Hangouts, Sparks and Huddles.

This seems to be the Google biggest attempt to rival the social network Facebook, which had over half a billion users in 2010.
After Facebook blocked a Google Chrome extension developed for exporting Facebook Friends' list to Google+ I have find that you can still import the users using Yahoo or Windows Live account as an intermediary layer between Google+ and Facebook. Read here about this backdoor

Erick Schonfeld in his article also remarks: "Facebook’s shenanigans aren't good from the point of view of data portability, on the whole I think this is actually a good thing for Google+. If it were too easy to import your Facebook friends, then Google+ would simply become a Facebook clone, replicating your Facebook experience. By forcing you to create a new social graph from the ground up, Google+ has a greater chance of becoming distinct."

I have to agree, the experience means a lot and the Facebook aggression is not that smart, it could also lead to a greater/better Google+ interest and emotion.
